Sustainability is not a category. It's the investment thesis.
Every investment Earth Power makes is in the infrastructure of the energy transition. Environmental, social and governance considerations are built into how we identify, evaluate and manage those investments, not applied as an overlay afterwards.
An investment strategy built on the energy transition
We invest in renewable generation, energy storage, grid infrastructure and the assets that connect them. By construction, our portfolio is oriented toward a more reliable, flexible and lower-carbon power system.
That does not remove the need for scrutiny. Environmental and social impact, from siting and permitting to grid connection and community effect, is assessed as part of the same investment case as commercial and financial due diligence, not as a separate checkbox exercise.
How we think about E, S and G
Environmental
Grid impact, land use, permitting status and physical risk are considered alongside commercial and financial factors in every investment case, from origination through to exit.
Social
Energy infrastructure interacts directly with local communities, landowners and the workforce that builds and operates it. We expect the projects and partners we invest alongside to hold themselves to a high standard on safety and community engagement.
Governance
ESG factors are considered throughout the investment lifecycle, from origination and due diligence to structuring and ongoing asset management, with oversight from Earth Power's investment committee.
Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Our investment strategy is built around sectors and outcomes that align with several UN Sustainable Development Goals. These are the goals our investments aim to help advance.
Our core focus: renewable generation and storage that expand access to affordable, clean power.
The infrastructure we invest in creates local jobs, from construction through to long-term operation.
Investment in grid infrastructure, hybridisation and the digital and power-intensive assets the energy transition depends on.
We work directly with the communities and landowners connected to the assets we invest in.
Every investment we make is oriented toward a more reliable, lower-carbon power system.
Land use, siting and permitting are assessed as part of every investment case.
Our approach is built on direct relationships with owners, developers, utilities and advisors.
Working with institutional partners
We recognise that institutional investors increasingly require clear, consistent visibility into how ESG factors are identified, assessed and monitored across a portfolio. As our platform and capital base grow, we are building the reporting and monitoring framework needed to meet that requirement.
As we establish dedicated investment vehicles, we intend to consider EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) requirements, including Article 8 and Article 9 classification, as appropriate.
We welcome a direct conversation with any institutional partner about their specific ESG reporting or due diligence requirements.
